Socks

Finished a pair of socks for Steph Sunday. She has aready worn them and has told me they are warm. Made them with Lion Brand Cotton Ease in a sport(dk) weight yarn. I use 2 circular needles (size 7) for these sock, the first pair using circulars. I like the circulars they don't feel as akward as the double points. I have used double points for many years but the circulars seem easier to me. The color in the picture looks kind of read but they are bright orange with orange eyelash yarn on the cuff.

Finished baby sweater

Finished 2 more baby sweater in the past few weeks. First one I finshed a Nancy's and the second one I finished on Friday. They are for girls at work as we are having a population explosion. There are more people expecting but not due for a little while yet. Both sweaters are made with Lion Brand Homespun yarn on size 13 needles so both went quick.
The green has little dinosaur buttons didn't have 4 of one kind so use 2 different buttons at were the same color. The red has buttons that are little cars.

North Carolina Trip

Had a mini get together the first week of June. Drove up to North Carolina on May 31 to visit with Nancy (Mouse). Steph and our dog Chibbie also joined us. Arrived mid afternoon on Wed. and spent the rest of the day knitting and chatting. Thursday we went to visit one of the LYS and bought some yarn. I bought some Cascade 220 in a blue for a pair of felted slippers and a nylon ribbon type yarn for a tie, both for Christmas presents. Steph found some yarn to a scarf for a friend that just moved away and a cord type yarn that she made a necklace with. Friday Nancy showed both Steph and me how to knit socks on 2 circulars.
We were expecting Patti to join us but turned out she wasn't able to come up until Sat. morning. Saturday afternoon Patti , Steph and I went to 2 more yarn stores. In the first store I bought some Cascade Fixation and a set of 2 Addi circulars to use with the yarn. In the second store Steph found some yarn she like for a possible shawl.
For the rest of the weekend we sat, talked, knit and shared patterns for the rest of the day. Sunday we visited for a little more before leaving to return home. We all had such a good time we are already talking about getting together again.
