baby outfit buttons

Here is the picture of the buttons for the baby outfit I made. I bought these buttons many years ago in a store near where I live even longer ago. The store sold buttons, zippers and trims. I think they may have sold some fabric as well but they mostly sold the other things. I live near there before I was married and loved to go in there and just look at all the buttons. When I came home to visit my parents when my DD was a baby I went there to look for buttons for things for her. These were some I didn't get a chance to use.

baby outfit Posted by Hello

baby outfit

It's finally done. The baby outfit I was making for a friend at work is done. It took longer than I thought it would. Partialy because I didn't get much knitting time at work while working on this. But also because I must have restarted it about 5 times at the begining. I used some buttons that I have had since DD was a baby but never used for her.
It may be too big for the baby this year but if it is it should fit her next spring.

CF walk, Chelsa and Steph Posted by Hello

CF walk, Steph and Candis Posted by Hello

My legs hurt

I am proud of my self. Yesterday I took part in a fund raising walk for Cystic Fibrosis. The entire walk was 6 miles, twice around a mapped out course. I was able to do one lap. My DD,Steph her friend Chelsa and a co-worker and her son were able to walk both laps. A good time was had by all and over $50,000 was raised.
Only problem now is my legs and feet hurt and it hurts to walk.

this and that

Well I haven't posted in a while so thought I should. I met with my knitting group on 4/20 and had a good time, didn't get much knitting done met a few more people there.
I have been so busy running here there and every where haven't done a whole lot of knitting. Still working on the baby out fit for a girl at work, I hope to have it finished soon. I have found out there is another girl at work expecting in August. I also still have to make a gift for an exchange in another group a belong to.
I have to find a good pair of walking shoes for the 14th. I am taking part in a fund raiser walk for CF (Cystic Fibrosis). For those of you who don't know what CF is it is a genetic lung or liver disease that there is no cure for and is alway fatal. This disease effects children and with all the advances in medicine they now can live to early adult hood (30's) but many still die earlier than that. This walk will be 6 miles so my feet will be very sore after wards. My daughter and one of her friends will be joining me.
I have bought both The Shop on Blossom Street and A Good Yarn, by Debbie Macomber. I have read the first book before but wanted to reread it before I read the other book.
