Good deed, Tito aka Porkchop

Did a good deed for the new year. On December 31 Steph and I were going out . When we drove down CR 218 ( a heavily traveled road) we saw a small dog running back and forth. We stopped to pick him up as he was in danger of getting hit on the road. We posted flyers about him hoping to find his owner. After about 2 weeks we began to think he would be ours, but last night the phone rang. The woman on the phone was able to identify him so we knew he was theirs. When the family arrived to get him he became so excited even when just hearing their truck. He was very excited to see them so it was very clear he was their dog.
We were sad to see him go as he won our hearts very quickly. One unexpected thing that came out of this was we will be getting a new dog. The owners mother's dog had just had puppies and they offered us one of them. So when the puppies are old enough to leave the mother we will have a new dog.
