Civil War

My DH's newewt passion is Civil War reenacting. We went to an event yesterday and I was able to talk to many women who do this and got some great ideas on what to do for myself. Have some material for a dress that I have been told is perfect. Had to go buy a pattern for the dress but got it for 40% off the original price (it was $18.00), material was only $1 a yard. DS got to participate as a runner for the Union Army and now is very excited about doing this. DD still doesn't think she will enjoy herself but we are working on convincing her to join us. I have found that many of the things I have around the house will do for things I need. I have some dishes, forks, and glasses that will work for what I need. I will need to find a tent and some other large items for living in but that can come later.
