Baby sweater

Finished the baby sweater with the hat and booties for the girl at work this past week. She is due in August. I now have discovered that one of the girls in my department is now pregnant but not due until Feburary, at least this is what she thinks, she hasn't gotten a due date from the dr yet. Now I have to decide what to make for her. It is to early to know if it is a boy or girl and there is a chance she will have twins as twins run in her family. Guess it is time to pull out the patterns again.

excange bag

Well Dee has receive her package so I can post a picture of the bag I made her. It was interesting making it as it call for a specific type of yarn and gave no measurements on how big to make it, I just guessed on the size. It came out pretty good if I do say so myself.
I will have more pictures soon I'm making a baby sweater, booties and hat set for another girl at work, who is expecting and due in August.

Steph's CD player case

Finished a quick project last night. A case for Steph's CD player. Made with Paton's Twister whick is a double strand yarn. One strand looks like a chenille and the other is an eyelash yarn, the base yarn was green and the eyelash was white. I added to straps in the back so she could slip a belt through it so she could carry it on her belt, I also did a button loop instead of a button hole. It took maybe 6 hours to complete.

exchange project

I finished my project for the exchange I am taking part in. I won't post a picture just yet, I want to wait until the person it is for has recieve it. It took me about 2-3 weeks to finish it( I didn't time it exactly) If I had worked on it every day it would have been done sooner but it is hard to knit at work some days.
School is out , finished the Wednesday before Memorial Day. Steph (DD) had a friend spend the night for 2 nights in a row. While she was here she asked to learn how to knit. We went to my stash yarn and found some yarn that she liked that was good for a beginer to use to learn with. Picked out a pair of needles and off she went. She seemed to pick up the knit stitch quickly. Steph is working on her second scarf using Bernat's Frenzy, it is so wide it will look more like a shawl than a scarf . Will post a picture of that soon too.
