Sad day

Today was not the best day in the world. Attended a funeral for a young man who passed away. He was a young man I knew through work as he had Cystic Fibrosis. He lost his battle with this disease on Thursday much to our sadness. I am sure he is in a much better place and no longer ill but he will be missed.

Busy weekends

I have had quite a few busy weekends lately. Of course much of my weekends are taken up with work but then I have had other things going on also.
The last weekend in January was spent in Sarasota as this is where the college Stephanie wants to go to. They had a portfolio day where she could take some of her work down and have them critic it, she also got a tour of the campus. She is now even more certin this is the school for her.
Just this past weekend we spent at Olustee. This is an area just outside of Lake City FL where a battle in the Civil War was fought.
Every year they reenact this battle and it is one of the biggest reenacting events in Florida. We arrived Thursday afternoon and spent the whole weekend in period dress and lived in a tent.
Steph had her friend Patti with us and they had a lot of fun. There was a dance Saturday evening and a young man asked both of them to dance more than once.
It turned out he was camping with the same group we were so they seemed to have struck up a friend ship.

New pets

Well I don't remember if I mentioned the goat my last post but we now have a goat along with all the other animals we have. He has become somewhat of a pain as he keeps jumping out of his pen,(he really needs a bigger one). Here is a picture of him as I know I didn't post one before.
